  • Why should I choose The House Keepers of MA?
    The answer is simple... we love what we do and it shows in our results. We are committed to hiring the best talent in the industry. Our comprehensive three-week training program prepares each of our Cleaning Specialists to tackle any messes that come their way. Our team is trustworthy, reliable and committed to providing only the best customer and cleaning service to our clients. We carry full liability, bonding and worker's compensation insurance.... for your peace of mind, and ours!
  • Do I have to be home during my cleaning?
    You are welcome to be present, however you do not need to be home during the cleaning. Some clients prefer to greet their cleaner(s) at the time of arrival and then head out for the duration of the cleaning. Many of our clients provide us with a key that we keep in our locked office, and it is issued to your cleaning team on the day of your cleaning. Another option is to provide us with a garage code to allow access to the house.
  • What time will my cleaners arrive?
    We clean between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., and break our day into 2-3 time slots. Your start time will be discussed when setting up your first appointment. We offer two main start times: 9:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m., with occasional 10:00am or 11:00 am start times as well.
  • Do you bring your own supplies and equipment?
    Yes, we provide everything that is needed to thoroughly clean your home, including all cleaning solutions, vacuums, dusters, microfiber rags, buckets and mops.
  • Do you provide all-natural/green products?
    Yes, we do! We use a mix of all-natural products, along with some traditional cleaners such as Lysol for disinfecting purposes. We currently use both Mrs. Myer's brand and Method brand all-purpose cleaners, as well as microfiber rags to cut down our paper towel use, as part of our commitment to being as environmentally friendly as possible.
  • What should I do with my pets on the day of my cleaning?
    We absolutely love pets! However, for their safety and ours, we ask that dogs be kept in an area of the home that our team does not have to access during the cleaning. Cats should also be kept in a safe area, if they are masters at escaping (however we have found that most cats just hide from our big, scary vacuums).
  • How do I pay for my cleaning?
    We accept cash, checks and credit cards. Most clients leave a check for us in a designated spot on the day of their cleaning. If paying by cash we ask that you please put in an envelope and write "The House Keepers of MA" or the name of your cleaner on the outside of the envelope, so there is no confusion to our cleaning team. If you prefer to pay by credit card, please make arrangements with our office prior to your scheduled cleaning.
  • What if something is damaged during my cleaning?
    Our cleaners treat your home with the utmost care and respect and we make every effort to prevent accidents from happening. However, sometimes accidents do occur. In the event that something becomes damaged in your home, our cleaners will report the damage to our management staff immediately at the time the damage occurs. A manager will then contact you to discuss the situation and provide a solution. We will cover the cost of repair or replacement for any damage caused by our cleaning team. We are fully insured for your peace of mind, and ours!
  • What if I need to reschedule or cancel my cleaning?
    In the event that you need to reschedule your cleaning, please notify our office at least 48 hours in advance to avoid a cancellation fee. If you need to cancel your cleaning with fewer than 48 hours notice, a $50.00 cancellation fee will be charged. If you reschedule your cleaning within one week of cancellation, your cancellation fee will be refunded to you.
